Chieftains outscored by dominant Panthers

By Ginna Young

In their only game of the week, the Lake Holcombe girls packed up and headed to Prairie Farm Jan. 17, for a showdown on the basketball court. The East Lakeland Conference match-up was destined to be a hard-fought game from the start, proven by the scoreboard early on.

The Chieftains only put up 13 points on the board in the first half, while Prairie Farm scored 48.

“Our bench was shorter than average, due to illness and other issues, so we felt every foul and every minute of the game,” said assistant coach J.D. Kirkman.
