Donavan “Don” LeMay, born Feb. 15, 1930, hung up his cowboy hat and went to join his loved ones Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2021, with deep gratitude for the rich full life he enjoyed the past 91 years.

He traveled extensively, had a lot of interesting adventures and met many wonderful people along the way.

Donavan was born to Donavan and Ruth (Lueck) LeMay, in Chippewa Falls.

He married Patricia Dietrich Nov. 16, 1952, and celebrated 56 years of marriage. They were blessed with 10 children – Daryl (Meri) LeMay, Debbie (Doug) Ellis, Diane (Don) LeMay, David (Donna) LeMay, Denise (Bill) Dulian, Dona Crank, Dean (Sherrie) LeMay, Dorothy (Victor) Hart and Daniel (Shari) LeMay.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife – Patricia; daughter – Doreen; son-in-law – Timothy Crank; grandchildren – Stephanie and Corey Lewis; and his siblings – Vonnie Kropidlowski, Charmaine Korn and Karl LeMay.

Don was a cowboy from the beginning of his life to the end. He was happiest riding a horse, watching westerns or driving his side by side, Jenny.

In lieu of flowers, Dad would want you to shine your boots, tilt your cowboy hat and enjoy a cold beer.

A memorial visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m., with a 5 p.m., memorial service, with grandson Jason LeMay presiding, Friday, Sept. 17, at Leiser Funeral Home in Cadott. Inurnment will follow the service at the St. Rose Cemetery, Town of Sigel, Chippewa County.
