Eleanor Kucera


Eleanor Kucera, 86, Cadott, passed away Monday, Aug. 16, 2021, at her home, with family at her side.
Eleanor was born Nov. 20, 1934, to Michael and Mary Sciezor, in Lublin.
She raised three children with her first husband, Robert Reppe, in Stanley. Eleanor later married Thomas “Tom” Kucera July 21, 1979.
Eleanor worked in clerical positions before she worked in healthcare as a nurse’s aide and became an LPN; she also, for a short time, worked in real estate in the Chippewa Falls area. She then perused an antique store in Cadott, with help from her close friend, Denise Monroe, and Eleanor also helped her husband, Tom, for many years, with Kucera Construction.
She is survived by her husband – Thomas Kucera, Cadott; her two daughters – Mary Reppe and Karen Harris, both of Birchwood; grandchildren – Anna Weiss, Jason Reppe, Ellie Godown, John Bruhling, Peter Bruhling and Paul Bruhling; great-grandchildren – Chace and Mary Ann Godown, Alexander Winkleman, Madison and Kate Thomas, Isabella Weiss, Triston, Kenlee, and Topanga and Loralie Bruhling; sisters – Florence Berseth and Alice Maul; sisters-in-law – Anna Hager, Rosemary Krueger, Carol Steel and Barb Schmitt; brother-in-law – Chuck Kucera; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents – Michael and Mary Sciezor; son – Gregory Reppe; brother – Harry Sciezor; and two brothers-in-law – Frank and William Kucera.
Services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, Aug. 23, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Cadott, with the Rev. Dr. Gary Paul officiating. Entombment was in the Hope Mausoleum in Chippewa Falls.
Visitation was from 9:30 a.m., until the time of service, Monday, at the church.
