Michele Lynn (Strizic) Sommer

Michele Lynn (Strizic) Sommer, 54, Chippewa Falls and formerly of Holcombe, passed away unexpectedly Friday, March 12, 2021, at her home.

Michele was born Nov. 24, 1966, to Gerald and Carol (Stokosa) Strizic, in Chippewa Falls.

She attended and graduated from Lake Holcombe High School in 1985, and later worked at TTM in Chippewa Falls, for many years.

Michele married Jon Sommer in 1997; they later divorced. She was a very loving and giving person, with a sweet personality and she enjoyed music, cooking, especially for others, and gardening.

She is survived by her son – Anthony “A.J.” Sommer, Holcombe; parents – Gerald (Priscilla) Strizic, Chippewa Falls, and Carol Strizic, Conrath; a brother – Mark (Ruth) Strizic, Jim Falls; two sisters – Melanie (Chad) Ouimet, Atascadero, Calif., and Melissa (Darin) Duncan, Conrath; nieces and nephews – Bradin and Brooke Duncan, and Evelyn Gorda and Dalton Strizic; a stepsister – Shannon Stokes, Colorado Springs, Colo.; and a stepbrother – Luke Stokes, Colorado Springs, Colo.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents – Cyril “Bud” and Sally Strizic, and Louis and Lottie Stokosa; late husband – Jon Sommer; and special friend – Danny Bunnell.

A service of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 20, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Cornell, with Father Eric Linzmaier officiating.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m., until the time of service, Saturday, at the church. Face coverings and social distancing are required.
