Kevin L. Kuehni, 63, Boyd, died Monday, Nov. 23, 2020, because of injuries from an auto accident and complications from COVID-19.

Kevin was born Aug. 27, 1957, to Elmer and Marie (Huber) Kuehni.

He grew up on the family farm near Maple Hill, and graduated from Stanley-Boyd High School in 1975.

Kevin worked for Chippewa Concrete Services and was a member of Local 268, for 26 years, before cancer forced him into early retirement.

He loved riding snowmobiles, and his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and Polaris RZR. He was an avid Packers fan, fisherman and deer hunter, and a member of the Halfway High Riders’ Snowmobile Club, Pike Lake Ice Fishing A Team, Geezers Harley Group, Halfway 8 o’clock Coffee Club, Pike Lake mini-golf video gaming crew and one of the founding members of the Kuehni Outfitters Club.

Kevin also donated his labor to help build the Otter Lake day use pavilion and the two Highway 29 “Welcome to Stanley” signs. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

He is survived by his parents – Elmer and Marie, Stanley; his sister – Kathy (Mark) Farley, Eau Claire; his niece – Brittany (Mitch) Miller, and their children – Mason and Zachary, Onalaska; and his niece – Breanna (Eddie) Lund, Lakeville, Minn.; and will be dearly missed by his many friends and loyal companion – Spot.

A private memorial mass will be held. Inurnment will take place in the Oakland Cemetery in Stanley. A public celebration of life will be held after the COVID-19 health crisis is over.
