Randall “Randy” Horn
Randal L. 'Randy' Horn, age 62, of Thorp, passed away in Mercer on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. Funeral services were held at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Immanuel United Church of Christ in the town of Warner, rural Greenwood. Rev. Asafa Rajaofera officiated, and burial followed in Forest Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Scott Horn, Tara Marten, Hudson Horn, Melissa Horn, Mason Learman, Charlie Przybylski, Rodger Horst, Mitchell Seehaver, and Steve Abramczak. Honorary pallbearers will be his brothers, Frank and Howie Horn. Visitation was held at the church on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
Randal Lee Horn was bom on June 18,1963, in Neillsville, to Glenn M. and Jeanette D. (Humke) Horn. He was raised and received his education in Thorp, graduating from Thorp High School in 1981. After graduation, he worked at the Thorp Catholic School as a custodian while also selling firewood. In 1983, Randy began farming with his father in the town of Worden, rural Thorp. He was united in marriage to Connie L. Buresh on Sept. 22, 2001, at the United Methodist Church in Holcombe. Randy farmed his entire life alongside his wife Connie until selling the farm in 2023 after 40 years of farming. A year earlier, Randy and Connie purchased the TP Inn just east of Thorp, and have operated the Drink Inn until the present time.
Randy had many interests, but especially enjoyed his cows and animals, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, UTV rides, their house in Mercer, cash cropping, family vacations, cutting wood, and bowling in his younger years. His contagious smile and laughter brought joy to those around him and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He will be dearly missed by his wife of 24 years, Connie, of Thorp; his children: Brandon Horn of Chippewa Falls, Brianna Horn of Thorp, Kayla (Dave) Skallet of Osseo, and Jamie (Ashley) Hoffstatter of Stanley; three grandchildren: Elizabeth, David, and Wyatt; four siblings: Frank (Elaine) Horn of Thorp, Howie (Jess) Horn of Oshkosh, Linda Horn (Jim Brost) of Crandon, and Candace (Don) Cook of Mesa, Ariz.; and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Glenn Horn Jr.; and one nephew, Trevin Horn.
