Harriet Halida

Daniel Zimmerman officiated and burial followed in the

Harriet T. Halida, 87, Loyal, passed away at Clark County Rehabilitation and Living Center in Owen on Sunday, April 14, 2024. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 19, 2024, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal. Rev. Loyal Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation was held at the church on Friday, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Harriet Todd Wald was born on Sept. 4, 1936, in Stanley, to Harry and Katherine L. (Samplawski) Wald. She was raised in Stanley where she received her education, graduating from Stanley High School in 1954. She then attended Stevens Point Normal School and received her teaching

certificate. Harriet was united in marriage to Lawrence J. Halida on May 28,1955, at St. Mary's Polish National Catholic Church in Lublin. She taught at the elementary into Loyal where they lived until they finished building a home northeast of town and

school in Poynette, and later taught special education in Sparta. In 1972, they moved began farming. Harriet farmed with her husband until retiring from farming in 2001. They resided in their home until moving to Clark County Rehabilitation and Living Center in 2021.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was a Cub Scout den leader for several years.

Harriet had many interests, including spending time with her family, spending time on the farm, reading, playing cards, and watching the Packers and Brewers. She also was a great animal lover, especially her cats. She enjoyed traveling with her husband when they were younger. Harriet was a very compassionate and understanding person who was loved by all.

She will be dearly missed by her husband, Lawrence, of Loyal; her children: Lynn Halida, Bradley Schneider, Natalie Halida and Lindsay Halida; one brother, Ken (Kar-

Wilson of Weston, Kimberly Halida of Marshfield, Larry (Crystal) Halida of Bowling Green, Ky. and Cheryl Halida of Marshfield; five grandchildren: Katilyn Halida, Tyler en) Wald of Fountain City; three sisters: Jan (Daryl) Neigebauer of Owatonna, Minn., Mary (Craig) Schroeder of Morristown, Minn, and Debbie (Jerry) Kjesbo of Altoona;

and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Harriet was preceded in death by her parents. Our family would like to thank everyone for their support and compassion during this time.
