Gerald “Jerry” Anderegg

Gerald R. 'Jerry' Anderegg, 86, Marshfield, formerly of Loyal, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2024, surround ed by his family Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 16, 2024, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Loyal. Rev. Emmanuel Famiyeh will officiate, and burial will follow in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the Loyal American Legion Post 175. Visitation will be held at the church, on Friday, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.

Jerry was born on June 5,1937, in Greenwood, to Edward W. and Violet R. (Johnson) Anderegg. He was raised and received his education in Greenwood, graduating from Greenwood High School in 1956. After completing his education, Jerry enlisted into the U.S. Army and served from Feb. 2,1956, until his honorable discharge on Feb. 1,1958. He then went to work for American Motors in Kenosha. Jerry was united in marriage to Diane C. Denk on Oct. 24,1959, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Loyal. They re sided in Kenosha until moving to Loyal in 1964, where he and his father logged their family land and hauled milk, ultimately forming Anderegg Bulk Milk Service. After his father's death in 1969, Jerry took over operation of the business until his retirement in January 2000. During his retirement, Jerry had many interests, but especially loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, fishing with his buddies, hunting, and woodworking, as well as traveling to Montana and California.

He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and the Loyal Lions Club. Jerry will be dearly missed by his wife, Diane, of Marshfield; his children: Michele (Mike) Gregorich of Big Timber, Mont., Michael (Tami) Anderegg of Great Falls, Mont., Denise Anderegg (Martin Leima) of Portland, Ore., Julie (Tim) Brussow of Loyal, Theresa (Greg) Reierson of Marshfield, Amy (Jim) Hills of Loyal, John Anderegg of Marshfield, and Joe Anderegg of Great Falls, Mont.; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Lawrence Weber of East Troy; one sister-in-law, Lexie Anderegg of Eau Claire; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Dennis; and one sister, Ann Weber.
