Doris Aumann

Doris A. Aumann, 96, Marshfield, formerly of Loyal, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024, at Wells Nature View in Marshfield under the care of St. Croix Hospice.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m. on Wednes day, Jan. 24, 2024, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Spencer, with Rev. Barry Saylor officiating. She was laid to rest in West Spencer Cemetery in the town of Sherman. Family and friends were invited to gather on Tuesday at Life Tributes Funeral Home in Spencer from 5-8 p.m. and again on Wednesday at the church in Spencer from 10 a.m. until the time of the services. The honor of pallbearer belonged to Brian Preising, Steve Gaetz, Alan Frost, Russell Hamus, Leon Kuechenmeister and Randy Aumann.

Doris was born on Feb. 15,1927, in Marshfield to George and Ida (Klumb) Preising. She attended the County Grade School and graduated from Stratford High School. On Sept. 15,1952, she was united in marriage to Clarence L. Aumann in Marshfield. Together, they owned and operated a dairy farm. Doris was a dedicated mother, wife and homemaker.

She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Spencer. Doris enjoyed playing cards or a game of dominos, going bowling with friends or traveling to Rio Grande, Texas, for the winter months, which she and her husband both enjoyed for over 20 years.

Those who will cherish her memory include her children: Dale (Laurie) Aumann of Rudolph, Cheryl (Jeff Adler) Aumann of Marshfield, Glen (Carla) Aumann of Loyal and Vickie (Steve) Komarek of Cumberland; her grandchildren, Natalie (Garrick Palay) Aumann of Sun Prairie and Kelsey (David) Svajda of Elk Mound; her great-grandson, Jerome Svajda and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her brother-in-law, Bill Frost of Marshfield and her sisters-in-law, Doreen Mrotek of Cadott, Caroline Miller of Loyal, Lois Aumann of Loyal and Leona Aumann of Marshfield, along with many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ida Preising; her husband, Clarence Aumann; her brother, Donald Preising; and her sisters: Mildred Hamus and Marie Frost.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are being accepted by Doris' family for a charity yet to be determined.
