Christopher Weis

Christopher (Chris) Weis, 61, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 10, surrounded by family, after a long battle with multiple sclerosis. Chris is survived by his son Tyler (Lindsay) Weis of Glendale. He is also survived by his parents, Charles and Grace Weis, of Marshfield; three sisters, Angel (Peter) Schecklman of Loyal, Victoria (Leon) Piech of Mosinee and Lisa Pipkorn (Matt Gilles) of Dodgeville; nine nephews; and 11 great-nieces and nephews. Chris was proceeded in death by his sister, Pamela Haebig, and his grandparents, Reinold and Lorraine Weis and Andrew and Rose Marie Zinthefer.

Chris was a 1980 graduate of Loyal High School, where he enjoyed wrestling and made many lifelong friends. In 1982, he graduated from the diesel mechanic program at Midstate Technical College.

Chris lived in Florida where he owned a car wash, worked in real estate and enjoyed the warmer climate. In 2021, his sisters brought him back to Wisconsin for medical care and to be near his family.

Services will be held at Our Lady of Peace in Marshfield on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023, with visitation from 9 a.m. until the time of the mass at 11 a.m.
