Rosalind ‘Rosie’ Aumann Rosalind ‘Rosie’ Aumann

Rosalind “Rosie” Aumann, 93, Butler, was born to eternal life on Thursday, Nov. 26, 2020, in Wauwatosa. Private ceremonies will be held as the family wishes to postpone a religious ceremony until a later date.

Rosie Schecklman was born on Jan. 23, 1927, to Leo and Mary (nee Walter) Schecklman, on their farm. She was one of seven children, and after graduating high school, Rosie moved to Milwaukee and began working at Master Lock. Years later, she met the love of her life, Louis “Louie” Aumann, and they married in 1952. Together they had one son, Tom. After 46 1/2 years together, Rosie lost her husband but kept her faith and took pride in serving others. She was a devoted member of St. Agnes Parish since 1960 and was involved in the Altar Society, Christian Mothers, St. Vincent de Paul, and the American Legion. Rosie was active in planning and coordinating funeral dinners for many decades. She also enjoyed dancing, bowling, baseball, playing cards, and, of course, cooking and baking. Rosie was proud of her family and friends, and cherished time spent together.

Survivors include her son, Tom (Marlene) Aumann; four grandchildren: Nicole (Jason), Steve, Michelle and Katie; four great-grandchildren who called her “GiGi,” her sister, Florein “Freenie” Mueller; two brothers, Bob (Sharon) and Jim; her inlaws: Henry (Lois) Aumann, Caroline Miller, Doreen Mrotek, Doris Aumann, and Leona Aumann; nieces and nephews; godchildren; and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Louie; brothers and sisters-in-law, George (Irene), Anthony (Anita), and Edward “Fritz” (June); a brotherin- law, Roland “Rolly” Mueller, and a sister-in-law, Jacelyn “Jackie” Schecklman.
