William “Bill” A. Bleck


1955-2022 William “Bill” A. Bleck, age 66, of Rib Lake, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2022, at his home under the care of his family and Hope Hospice & Palliative Care. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 9, at 11 a.m., at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Rib Lake. Rev. Jayanna Kanna will officiate. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Bill was born in Medford, on Aug. 24, 1955, to the late Robert and Gladys (Rinehart) Bleck. He was married to Chong Ha on May 16, 1977. She survives. Bill was a 1973 graduate of Rib Lake High School. After high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Army, serving for five years. Bill was stationed in Korea where he met his future wife, Chong, and where their first daughter was born. He was a distinguished graduate of his class and earned the rank of sergeant in just two years. Bill returned to Rib Lake and entered the workforce beginning employment as a welder at Omark Industries in Prentice. He retired as a quality control manager from Caterpillar, Inc. after 36 years. Bill was a former mechanic in the military and enjoyed tinkering on anything, building and remodeling projects, and had a passion for motorcycling. Above all, he was a devoted family man who cherished time spent with his family. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Chong Bleck, of Rib Lake; two daughters, Christy Bleck (Travis Gross), of Rib Lake, and Amanda Bleck (Wes Fisk), of Grafton; his brother, Jay (Jeanne) Bleck, of Marathon; and two sisters, Carol Bleck, of Rib Lake, and Renee Komarek, also of Rib Lake. He is further survived by four nieces and one nephew. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Gladys. Generations Funeral Home & Crematory of Tomahawk is assisting the family. Joan T ice 1934-2 022 Joan Tice, age 87, went home to be with the Lord, on Monday, June 6, 2022 at Oak Park Assisted Living, Madison, Wis. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 8 at Wisconsin Memorial Park, 13235 W. Capitol Drive, Brookfield, WI 53005 in Chapel of Flowers. Visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service. Service will be presented by the family. She was born on July 2, 1934 in Chelsea, Wis. to Paul and Elsie Schmoldt. She graduated from Medford High School in 1952. Joan was married to Robert Tice Oct. 9, 1954. Joan worked as an insurance professional for 45 years at various insurance companies. She loved spending time with family, flower gardening and enjoyed her many cats and dogs over the years. Joan and her husband Robert enjoyed traveling in the states and overseas. Survivors include her son, Mark (Lavonne) Tice; grandsons, Tristan Tice, Timothy (Robyn) Tice and Aaron (Stephanie) Tice; and 6 greatgrandchildren, William, Sophia, Cecilia, Alexis, Addison, and Samuel Tice. Survivors also include, sister-in-law, Phyllis; nieces, Patricia, Beverly, Judy, Bonnie and Penny; and nephew, Bruce. She was preceded in death by her father, Paul; mother, Elsie; and brother, Harold; and by her husband of 65 years, Robert, in 2020. ebauer 1929-2022 Darlene M. Gebauer, 93, of Rib Lake, died peacefully on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at Rib Lake Health Services and while under the care of Hope Hospice. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, July 1 at St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church in the town of Greenwood with Rev. Kenneth Bittorf officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church Cemetery, followed by a luncheon at the church. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m., Friday at the church. Darlene was born June 17, 1929 in the town of Holway to Helen (Raymond) and Edward Riemer. On June 18, 1947, she married Frank E. Gebauer Jr. at Zion Lutheran Church in Stetsonville. They resided in the town of Greenwood where they farmed for many years. Frank preceded her in death on May 18, 2002. Darlene was a gifted baker, who loved to bake for her family and friends. She found out what their favorites were and made those special treats for birthdays, graduations, and other events. It was hard to tell what was better, the baking or her canned pickles. A favorite past time was playing cards with her special group of lady friends, and also at Stetsonville Community Center. Her most cherished memories were time spent with her children, grandchildren and siblings. Survivors include her children, Roger (Kim) Gebauer, Janice (Russell) Bullis, all of Rib Lake, Beverly (Lawrence) Molitor, Bruce (Joyce) Gebauer, June (Jess) Carlson, all of Medford; siblings, Faith (Roger) Higgins of Medford, Ralph (Dorothy) Riemer of Waterford, Carol (Jack) Gaba of Wisconsin Rapids, William (Sheryl) Riemer of Birchwood, Gary Riemer of Stetsonville, Sharyle (Dennis) Peche of Dorchester; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank Jr.; siblings, Gerald (Karen) Riemer, Duane (Carol) Riemer; in-laws, Ray (Brenda) Gebauer, Norman (Ann) Gebauer, Loretta (Aaron) Brahmer, Doris (Eugene) Schlais, Henry (Myrtle) Gebauer, Amelia (Bill) Dassow, and Marie (Bert) Willner.
