Debbie Hofmann (Werner)

1951-2023

Debbie Hofmann (Werner) died peacefully on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2023 after a brief illness. She spent the last 51 years with her best friend and love of her life, Rolin. Debbie was born in Medford, on Jan. 30, 1951 to James and Fern Werner. She married Rolin on April 22, 1972. They shared 51 beautiful years together. He survives her, as do their three children. Alyssa (Chip) Short of Chillicothe, Ill., Jennie (Ben) Douglas of Arlington, Ohio, and Jesse (Molly) Hofmann of Washington, Ill. Debbie has six grandchildren, Ethaan and Aaden Engrissei, Cody and Elizabeth (Lizzy) Short, and Annie and Natalie Hofmann.

Debbie is also survived by her siblings, Sally (Jim) Hauser of San Rafael, Calif., Barbara (Terry) Beachler of Chillicothe, Ill., Suzie (Jeff) Zircher of Bartonville, Ill., Mary (Dale) Mokry of Medford, and Jimmy Werner of Green Bay; sister in-law Linda (Joe) Couri, brotherin- law, Dale (Conni) Hofmann, both of Peoria, Ill.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Charlie Werner; in-laws, Paul and Irene (Ted) Hofmann-Hoeltje; and a grandson, Ryne Hofmann.

Debbie loved her family and they will cherish the memories they have together and will miss her dearly. She loved her Wisconsin roots, the Chicago Cubs and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan.

A funeral mass was held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 2, 2023 at St. Philomena Catholic Church.

Memorial donations may be given to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation or to St. Jude in her honor.
