1953-2022 Jean “Jeanie” Marie Lechmaier (nee Hanke), age 69, of Longwood, Fla., reached her heavenly home on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, while in VITAS hospice care at Orlando Lutheran Towers. A gathering and celebration of life will be held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 30 at Baldwin- Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel in Sanford, Fla. A visitation will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 27 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Rib Lake. A funeral mass to follow at 12 p.m. Jeanie was the oldest born to Vernon and Estelle Hanke (nee Kriplean) on Apr. 5, 1953 in Sioux Falls, S.D. She grew up in Rib Lake and graduated from Rib Lake High School in 1971. On June 6, 1972 she was united in marriage to Daniel Lechmaier of Rib Lake. They moved to Milwaukee when Dan took a job with A.O. Smith. While her children were young, Jeanie was a stay-at-home mom and was active in Parent Teacher Association and Cub Scouts. In the late 1980s she became a certified optician and took a position with Paramount Optical. While working at Paramount Optical and delivering safety glasses to several local companies, she became affectionately known as the “Eyeglass Lady.” Upon her husband’s retirement from Tower Automotive (formerly A.O. Smith) in 2002, she moved back to Rib Lake. Jeanie became active in the TOPS Club chapter in Rib Lake and would later be crowned 2012 Queen at their national convention in San Diego, Calif. She worked at HealthView Eye Care Center in Medford, and retired in 2018. Following retirement, she and Dan moved to Longwood, Fla. Jeanie enjoyed reading, travel, baking, playing cards, walking, swimming, and playing with her grandchildren. Beloved wife of 50 years to Daniel C. Lechmaier; loving mother of Chris (Tricia) Lechmaier, Brad (Tanya) Lechmaier, and Eric Lechmaier; loving grandmother of eight grandchildren, Madelyn, Emilia, Ava, Keelan, Riley, Isla, Selah, and Chloe; sister to Sue (Barry) Anderson and the late Greg (Cindy) Hanke; and sister-in-law of Pat (the late Archie) House, Deb (the late Jim) Lechmaier, Ron (Phil) Lechmaier, Gene (Cathy) Lechmaier, Chuck (the late Charlene) Lechmaier, and John (Barb) Lechmaier. She is further survived by other family and friends. 1936-2022 Ronald E. Busse, age 86, of Dorchester, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at the Colonial Center in Colby. A Funeral Service was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Dorchester. The Rev. Shawn Andersen officiated. Interment was held at Dorchester Memorial Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Dorchester American Legion Post #517. Family and friends were welcome from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, July 11 at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford and from 10:00 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the church. Ron was born on May 24, 1936, the son of Otto and Lorentina (Scheelk) Busse in the Town of Mayville. He graduated from Dorchester High School. Ron enlisted in the U. S. Marines Corp and was stationed at Camp Pendleton in San Diego, Calif. from 1954-56. On Feb. 20, 1958, he was united in marriage to Helen Blazel. Together they farmed in the Town of Mayville since 1960 and still live on the farm today. Ron was a dairy farmer for 43 years, worked at Holtz Feed Store in Abbotsford and Freudenthal Manufacturing in Medford. He also was a past president and board member for Pleasantview Cheese Factory, a member of the Dorchester American Legion Post #517 and the Abbotsford Jaycees. Ron especially enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren participate in sports and activities. Most importantly, he loved and cherished his family. Ron is survived by his wife of 64 years, Helen; seven children: Vicky Ninnemann of Wausau, Kathy (David) Parde of Weston, Becky (Kenny) Heser of Medford, Sandi (Brad) Hattlestad of Mosinee, Randy (Sandy) Busse of Curtiss, Greg Busse of Marshfield and Connie (Russ) Merrill of Benzonia, Mich.; 27 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by a sister-in-law, Carol Busse of Colby and a brother-in-law, Dennis Blazel of Marshall; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Rick; a great-granddaughter, Leela Row; a brother, Marvin Busse; a sister Carol Jean Palchik and a sonin- law, Duane Ninnemann.
