Donna J. Hana

1942-2023

Donna J. Hana, 81, of Medford, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 28, 2023 at Rib Lake Health Services, under the care of Hope Hospice. Funeral services for Donna took place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2023 at Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor Richard Russow Officiating. Burial followed at Medford Evergreen Cemetery II. Visitation was at Zion Lutheran Church on Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2023 from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.

Donna was born on July 8, 1942 to William and Mildred (Diedrich) Moore in Milwaukee. She graduated from Medford High School in 1960. She then went to school for teaching and attended Taylor County Teacher’s College and UW-Oshkosh. She taught throughout Wisconsin for a number of years. She married Aldon Hana on June 13, 1964 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. After marriage, she worked alongside her husband on the farm for 30 years. She went on to work for Figi’s and lastly at Phillip’s Plastics, until her retirement in 2009.

Traveling and spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids were her passions. She also enjoyed camping and rooting for the Brewers.

Donna is survived by her children, Joseph (Kathleen) Hana and Michael (Debbie) Hana, both of Medford; grandchildren, Kiesha (Billy) Adams, Nathan (Shelbie Blair) Hana, Logan Hana, Christopher (Jessica) Hana, and Ryan Hana; great-grandchildren, Colton, Brodon, Kieran, and Connlan Adams, and Raeann Hana.; brother, Bruce Moore of Alamogordo, N.M.; special niece, Lezlie (John) Eustis. Donna is further survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, Mary Hoopman and Lois Wolf; brother- in-law, Mike Wolf; and sister-in-law, Kathy Moore.
