Superintendent’s Corner:

As summer comes to a close and a new academic year begins, I’d like to extend a heartfelt welcome back to our school district community.
Our dedicated teachers and staff have been working diligently to create welcoming and inspiring learning environments for every student. We’re looking forward to seeing you not only in our classrooms, but also cheering from the stands at athletic events, attending performances, participating in family nights, and celebrating milestones together at special events throughout the year. Your presence and engagement make our school community stronger, and we can’t wait to share these meaningful moments with you.
Looking ahead, this school year holds tremendous promise. It presents new opportunities for learning, development, and success, for both our students and our community as a whole. As we embark on this journey, I look forward to fostering a strong and collaborative partnership with parents, educators, and community stakeholders. By working together, we can ensure that every student receives a highquality education rooted in academic excellence and student well-being.
This year, we are focused on strengthening our communication systems to ensure clear, consistent, and timely information flows between schools, families, and the broader community.
By enhancing how we connect and collaborate, we can better support our students and respond effectively to their evolving needs. We believe that two-way communication is key to our shared success, and encourage you to stay connected with us via email, phone, social media, and the school district website which can be located at athens1.org.
Our mission is to promote a safe, inclusive, engaging learning environment to promote critical thinking, citizenship, and student empowerment through strong school and community relationships. Your child, and entire family are vital members of our school community, and we deeply value your partnership.
With our combined efforts, this is going to be a meaningful and memorable year for every child.
