Kay (LaNou) Farley passed away peacefully at home, with family by her side, Wednesday, March 27, 2024.

Kay was born to Alvin and Elsie (Butterfield) LaNou, Aug. 17, 1938.

She graduated from Cadott High School in 1956.

Kay lived and worked at Crescent Store and Tavern, until her parents sold it in 1973. She then moved to Santa Monica, Calif., where she met Robert Farley Sr. They married Dec. 29, 1976.

She attended dental assistant school and worked for Milford Gilbert, DDS, for 23 years. She then worked for Emily Mangohig, DDS, for six years, until she retired in 2003.

After Robert passed away, she returned to the Town of Arthur, in 2009.

Kay was a life-long Green Bay Packers fan, an avid book reader and kept busy with many crafts, such as crocheting, knitting, sewing, painting, making greeting cards, and gifting her family and friends with her creations.

She is survived by her brothers – Larry (Donna) LaNou and Bruce LaNou, both of Cornell; stepsons – Robert Farley Jr., Reno, Nev., and Michael (Didi) Farley, Carson City, Nev.; stepbrothers – Gene (Theresa) Forman and Dave Forman, both of Cadott; nieces and nephews – Tamara (Jon) Bohaty, Cornell, Tracey (Shane Walker) LaNou, Eau Claire, Jeffrey LaNou, Cornell, Matthew (Susan) LaNou, Colfax, Michael (Abby) LaNou, Chippewa Falls, Scott (Stacy) LaNou, Andover, Minn., Shane LaNou and Shawn LaNou, Cornell; and 13 great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband – Robert; stepsister – Cheryl Calkins; and great-nephew – Isaac Bohaty.

Services will be held Saturday, April 27, at noon, at Northwoods Church in Cornell, with Pastor Greg Sima officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., and go until the start of service, at noon, at the church.
