Darrell C. Bremness, 76, Cadott, passed away Monday, Jan. 29, 2024, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.

Darrell was born Dec. 30, 1947, to Thomas and Victoria (Meyer) Bremness, in Chippewa

Falls. He attended Cadott High School, graduating with the Class of 1965. He also attended CVTC, gaining knowledge of many mechanical skills.

Darrell married Beverly J. Battcher, Aug. 7, 1976. He lived his life in Cadott and Chippewa Falls. Most of Darrell’s career was at Phillips Plastics/ITW, as a maintenance guy, displaying a knack for solving problems and being “Mr. Fix-It.” He hung up his tool belt and retired from TTM.

Darrell will be remembered for his pitching skills, coaching football and baseball, playing Sheepshead with his brothers, “bee in your bonnet” hobby of watching the stock market and mostly, his love for being at the hunting land.

He is survived by his wife – Beverly; daughters – Darla and Kimberly (David Keyeski); grandsons – Dakota, Wyatt and Raven; brothers – Jerome (Shirley), Thomas (Doris), Douglas, Larry (Roxanne), Rodney, Donavan, David, Steven (Kris), Jeffrey (Lynn), Randy (Darla), Gregory (Jean) and Brian; sisters – Elaine Greene, Pamela (Larry) Seidling, Cindy (Peter) Smoczyk and Lori (Dennis) Skalecki; and several nieces; nephews; and other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Darrin; his parents, Thomas and Victoria; sister-in-law, Darlys; brother- in-law, Dick Greene; and great-nephew, Devan.

Services will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 7, at Pederson- Volker Funeral Chapel in Chippewa Falls, with a visitation one hour prior to the service, at the church. The Rev. Doug Quenzer will officiate.

Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery. Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services in Chippewa Falls, is assisting the family.
