Robert “Bob” John Spaeth unexpectedly passed away Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2023, at the age of 73.

Growing up, Bob was an accomplished square dancer and belonged to the Squarenaders.

After graduating from Chippewa Falls High School, he became a self-taught mechanic. You could always find him out in his garage, tinkering with some motor or car.

Hunting and fishing were also a large part of his life, most of which was spent at his cabin in Gordon, with his family, and especially, with his brother, Dan.

Bob was the son of the late Raymond and Lorraine Spaeth, brother to the late Mary Ann Turner and Deb Martin, and brother-in-law to the late Clifton Turner and Ken Martin.

He is survived by his brothers – James (Collene) and Ken (Terese); sisters – Karen (Hunt) Russell, Rene Spaeth and Kathy (Mark) Stevens; many loving nieces and nephews; and longtime family friends – Clifford and Yvonne Hakes, who he always had a cup of coffee ready for.

Bob will be laid to rest next to his brother, Dan, and his parents, at the St. Rose Cemetery in Cadott, Monday, Aug. 14, at 2 p.m., with Father Felix officiating.

Leiser Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Cadott, is assisting the family.
