Robert “Bob” M. Kendall

Robert “Bob” M. Kendall, 71, Cornell, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.

Bob was born Feb. 2, 1952, to Buck and Shirley (Tonnoncour) Kendall.

He was born and raised, and lived his whole life in Cornell. He grew up farming on Old Baldy Mountain and graduated from Cornell High School in 1970.

After graduation, he worked at Falls Dairy. He also logged, trucked, hunted, fished and trapped all his life.

He is survived by his two sons – Rob (Tracy) Kendall, Cornell, and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren from them, and Mick (JoDean) Kendall, Cadott, and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren from them; his daughter – Cassie Hakes, Chippewa Falls, and his grandchildren from her; stepson – Andy (Beth) Holmen, Bruce, and his grandchildren from them; his racing son – Scott Duval, Bloomer; stepdaughters – Katie (Jessie) Kozial, Holcombe, and his grandchildren from them, and Kelsey Sigmund, Cornell; his sister – Cathy (Sam) Golat, Ladysmith; his best friend – Carol Short, Holcombe; nephew – Tom (Amy) Jolicoeur, Bloomer; and nieces – Jodi Jolicoeur, St. Germain, and Lisa Heegeman (Jolicoeur), Oshkosh.

He was preceded in death by his parents – Buck and Shirley Kendall; and his brother – Jimmer Kendall.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, May 7, at Ted’s Timber Lodge in Holcombe. All family and friends are invited to attend.
