Lauren Brent Balts, 57, Jump River, went home to be with his Lord, Saturday, April 8, 2023, surrounded by his loving daughters and family.

Lauren was born Nov. 10, 1965, in Chippewa Falls, to Philip and Orpha (Call) Balts.

He graduated from Cadott High School in 1984. Lauren earned an associate’s degree at CVTC in industrial electronics technology.

Lauren was a wonderful father, grandfather, brother and friend to many. He enjoyed visiting with family members and friends. He loved being outdoors and spending time with his daughters, while hunting, fishing, camping and hiking.

He found great pleasure in attending his grandchildren’s many activities. He enjoyed following all varieties of sports, especially the Cadott High School sporting events. He spent his last days debating with his brothers and friends regarding Aaron Rodger’s future. Other pastimes that Lauren enjoyed were traveling, antiquing and attending concerts with his daughters.

Lauren had a strong faith, and we take comfort in knowing he is now rejoicing with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

He is survived by his two daughters – Adrian (Ben) Burgess and McKenzie (Tom) Holtorf; three grandchildren – Gabe, Evelynn and Tucker Burgess; four brothers – Steven Balts (Melissa Greene), Roger (Linda) Balts, Dale (Sandy) Balts and Dean (Michelle) Balts; two sisters – Phyllis (George) Frisinger and Brenda (Steve) Frisinger; brotherin- law – Mark Brasseur; many nieces and nephews; and his special friend – Renee Workman (son, Eric Vilz); and numerous family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother – Philip and Orpha (Call) Balts; brother – Darrell Balts; and sister – Rhonda (Balts) Brasseur.

Services will be held Saturday, April 15, at 12:30 p.m., at Chippewa Valley Bible Church in Chippewa Falls. Visitation will be held before the funeral from 10 a.m. until the service begins at the church.

Interment will be at the Countryside Union Cemetery in Cadott.

Leiser Funeral Home in Cadott, is assisting the family.
