Karen Leverenz, an Amery resident of 56 years, died Saturday, March 25, 2023, at the age of 76.

She was was a loving wife to Ron Leverenz (deceased); a loving mother to Tim Leverenz and Dana Leverenz (deceased); a loving grandmother to Melissa Shafer, Kinsey Norton, Jillian Norton, Samantha Leverenz and Katherine Leverenz, and her great-grandchildren,

Ashlynn Behrman and Jaden Presley.

Karen had two sisters, Sharon Moen and Lynn Russo, and two brothers, Dick Lairy and Tom Lairy (deceased).

She worked at Wayne’s Café when she arrived in Amery, in 1967, with her husband, Ron, finding a position at Fabri- tek. Karen later worked at Conrad’s sewing factory, the Amery Bakery, Polaris and The Outside In, before retiring.

Karen cherished her family, friends and her flower gardens. Back in the day, she was quite the bowler, snowmobiler, golfer and card player; she loved life and was content with her life decisions made.

“Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean I’ll miss you, until we meet again.”

Her loved ones will miss her greatly, as her love for them was unconditional.

Services will take place at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 1, at Williamson-White Funeral Home in Amery. Visitation will take place from 5-7 p.m., Friday, March 31, at the funeral home, as well as from 10-11 a.m., prior to the service, Saturday.

Burial will take place at the Amery Cemetery.
