Dona Mae (Ferron) Biles

Dona Mae (Ferron) Biles, 94, passed away peacefully Thursday, Jan. 12, 2023.

Dona was born Dec. 17, 1928, in the Town of Birch Creek, in Chippewa County.

In her younger years, Dona used to knit many hats for newborn babies. She enjoyed going on bus trips to the casinos or to various plays.

Dona enjoyed her time playing BINGO and cards with her friends. She was also a member of the Camaraderie Club. When the weather was nice, she enjoyed coming out to the farm and Dennis would make her favorite meal, Beer Can Chicken.

She is survived by Charlene (James) Geiger, Spencer, Dennis (Kara) Sandley, Beaver Dam, and Susan Castillo, Sacramento, Calif.; her sister – Barbara; her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband – Lloyd; her parents – John and Hazel Ferron; her brother – Richard Ferron; her son – Darrel Sandley; and her grandson – Douglas Sandley.

Services will be held Thursday, Jan. 19, at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Andy Schottelkorb officiating. Visitation will be from noon, until the time of services, at Borton-Leiser Funeral Home in Cornell.

The family would like to thank all her friends in Cornell and Holcombe, who kept an eye out for her when we could not be here.
