Thelma D. Towns, 95, Stuart, Fla., passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2022.

Thelma was born in Cornell, to Alfred and Maude Arneson.

She remained in Wisconsin, living on the Chippewa River for the better part of her years, then traveled every year, to Florida, for the winter. She moved to Stuart, Fla., seven years ago.

Thelma was a loving wife and mother. She enjoyed taking motorcycle trips on their Harley Davidson, which included riding to Alaska and back, with her adult children. She would also snowmobile in the winter.

She also loved to go fishing in Canada, camping, playing BINGO and spending time with her family at barbecues on the Chippewa River.

Thelma was the devoted wife for 72 years, to the late Martin Towns; loving mother of Sherri Davis (Rick) and the late Susan LeCleir (Richard), the late David Towns and the late Daniel Towns; adored grandmother of Keith LeCleir, Kim Hines, Brandon Towns, Alisha Nenovich, Marty Ulmer and Kirsten Ulmer; 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was laid to rest at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Fla., June 8.
