Darin “Howie” Rosenlof
Darin “Howie” P. Rosenlof, age 52, of Greenwood, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield. A celebration of life to honor Howie will be held at a later date.
Darin Paul Rosenlof was born on March 13, 1974, in Marshfield, to Donald D. Sr. and Ida M. (Anderson) Rosenlof. He was raised and received his education in Loyal. After high school, Howie farmed for a short time before becoming employed at Benz Sawmill, in Loyal, as a sawyer. He worked at the sawmill for several years, and later worked as a sawyer for Dan Wolf, until his sawmill was destroyed by fire. He then worked for Wolf's Welding & Fabrication as a welder for more than 20 years, until having to retire due to health concerns.
Howie had many interests, but especially enjoyed his Farmall H tractor, his pets, snowmobiling, loved being outside, socializing with friends and family, and shooting trap when he was younger.
He is survived by his companion, Mandy Murphy of Greenwood, and her children Sam Murphy and Molly (Brent) Hodowanic; four brothers: Roger (T heresa) Werstovshek of Loyal, Donald (Shirley) Albrent of Tomahawk, Donnie Rosenlof Jr. of City Point, and Dean "Wazz" Rosenlof (Sara Noah) of Greenwood; and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Howie was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Debra C ontonis in 1990; and one brother, Robert Rosenlof in 1994.
