Nancy Sonderegger
Nancy K. Sonderegger, age 83, Greenwood, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at her home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Cuddie Funeral Home in Greenwood, with Rev. Nancy Amacher officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be held in the Greenwood City Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 8, 2026.
Nancy Karleen Ingertila was born on Dec. 15, 1942, in Fitchburg, Mass., to Waino Carl and Martha Marie (Aho) Ingertila. She was raised and received her education in Fitchburg, graduating from Fitchburg High School in 1960. Nancy was united in marriage to Robert A. Young in September 1960. She and her husband drove semi-truck and raised two children. They divorced in 1980. Nancy later married William Allan Sonderegger Sr. on Aug. 15, 1992. They resided in Ashuelot, N.H., until selling their house and moving to the Sonderegger farm in Greenwood, that was settled by her husband’s grandfather in 1932.
She had many interests, but especially enjoyed gardening, flowers, word find puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, and traveling, where she saw 48 states.
Nancy is survived by her son: Mark A. Young (Peggy Boop) of Goliad, Texas; her stepchildren: Princess Blodgett, Arthur (Ronnie) Sonderegger, and William Sonderegger Jr., all of Winchester, N.H.; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law: Tom (Kathy) Sonderegger of East Troy, Gordon (Barbara) Sonderegger of Winston, S.C., Paul (Theresa) Sonderegger of Newport News, Va.; sisters-in-law: Shirley (Gerald) Budzinski of Wausau and Beatrice Kurth of Rothschild; and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Bill; her daughter: Bobbi Jo Cempe in September 2009; her sister: Irene Lehtonen; sister-in-law, Judy Stark; and brother-in-law, Duane Sonderegger.
