Neal A. Mondloch, 66, Loyal, peacefully passed away at home surrounded by his family on Friday, Sept. 5, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 12, 2025, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Loyal. Rev. Emmanuel Famiyeh will officiate, and burial of cremains will follow in the parish cemetery. His son, Riley, will serve as pallbearer. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Mondloch, Mark Bump, Brian Thomas, Roger Rueth, Roy Rueth, Tom Rueth, Ralph Rueth, and Robert Rueth. Military rites will be conducted by the Loyal American Legion Post 175. Visitation will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church on Thursday, Sept. 11, from 5-7 p.m., and again on Friday, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Neal Allen Mondloch was born on Nov. 15, 1958, in Marshfield, the son of Leon J. and Shirley J. (McVean) Mondloch. He was raised and received his education in Spencer, graduating from Spencer High School in 1976. Neal then attended Wausau Technical College before entering the U.S. Air Force in 1977. After his honorable discharge, Neal worked as an airplane mechanic at the Anchorage International Airport in Anchorage, Alaska. He later transferred to the Minneapolis International Airport where he worked for more than 20 years. In 2009, Neal moved back to Spencer and worked at Land O’Lakes in the maintenance department. After an accident in 2012 left him disabled, he retired and was united in marriage to Rose A. Lindekugel on July 15, 2017, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Loyal. He lived the rest of his life in the town of Sherman, rural Loyal, where they built their home.

He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, and had many interests including flying, spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing, baseball, carpentry work, woodworking, and flying drones. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

Neal will be dearly missed by his wife, Rose, of Loyal; two children: Riley Mondloch of Minneapolis, Minn., and Robin (Armen) Vahanian of Norwood, Minn.; two step-children: Jason (Jenn) Lindekugel of Phoenix, Ariz., and Ryan Lindekugel of Oshkosh; one brother, Joe (Tina) Mondloch of Spencer; three sisters: Cindy Borgeman of Spencer, Sally (Brian) Thomas of Westboro, and Lynn (Mark) Bump of Spencer; and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
