Robert “Bob” Lee Treglowne

Robert “Bob” Lee Treglowne, passed away peacefully on Friday, Aug. 25, 2023, at Marshfield Hospital, at the age of 77.

The visitation and service will be held Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2023, at Rembs Funeral Home, 300 S. Oak Ave., Marshfield. Visitation will be from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m., with Father Robertson officiating the service at 1 p.m. Entombment will follow at Hillside Cemetery Mausoleum where military rites will be performed by American Legion Post 54 – Marshfield.

Bob was born in Hancock, Mich., to Robert and Pearl Treglowne on Aug. 13, 1946. Bob loved the sport of hockey. He played in high school and later turned that love and knowledge of the game to teaching others through coaching, as did his dad. He was a goalie on the ice and often called “Hardhead” by his teammates because of his passion for the sport. He was recruited for semi-pro play, but chose to proudly serve his country instead. He entered the military as a Marine and served in the Vietnam War. After returning from Vietnam, he worked in the copper mines of Upper Michigan, while also working alongside his father painting houses and doing carpentry work. He moved to Marshfield in 1970, and married Lana in 1972. They had four children. They divorced after 21 years. Later he met Linda, and they were united in marriage on June 14, 2003. Bob worked at Artcraft Homes while finishing his career as a laborer with Don Smith Sales in Spencer.

Bob enjoyed fishing, spending time with Linda at “Little House” and going for drives, whether it was to visit the scenic Highground in Neillsville (where a stone can be found in honor of his military service), or to surprise his kids with impromptu visits. Even though he was challenged with health issues over the years, the Marine in him persevered as to never miss an event where the family was gathered. He insisted on attending every sporting event and activity of his children and grandchildren. They knew Dad/Grandpa would be there to support them. There is peace in knowing his earthly body is no longer in pain and his heavenly body will allow him to skate freely on that big ice rink in the sky.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Linda; four children: Scott Treglowne (son, Devin), Tara Treglowne (daughter, Emily), David Treglowne, and Tina and Adam Becker (daughters: Samantha, Katelyn and Anna); his stepchildren: Dalynn and James Cato (children: David, Alyana and Jalynn), and Jesse and Libby Harris; sister, Pauline, and Joe Hebert; niece, Amanda Gossen; and nephew, Kevin Hebert. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Pearl Treglowne, and numerous other relatives and friends. Bob will be truly missed, and will always be remembered for his service to our country, love and pride for his family, and for always making sure to be present in the lives of those he loved.

The family of Bob wishes to extend sincere thanks to the following: Clark County Healthcare Center, Marshfield Clinic and St. Joseph’s Hospital for their support and care during Bob’s treatment throughout his years and especially during his last week.
