Calling all art lovers to visit the Yellowstone Trail Calling all art lovers to visit the Yellowstone Trail
It’s hard believe it’s been 11 years, but that’s how long the Yellowstone Art Trail has gone on. Spread across Boyd, Cadott, Anson and Lafayette, the trail, which happens Friday, Sept. 5, and Saturday, Sept. 6, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., features stops where artists can display/sell their creations. That includes items such as one-of-a-kind paintings, jewelry, glass ornaments, wood-turned bowls, pottery, baskets and anything else you can dream of. One new artist along the trail transforms recycled denim into purses, cell phone holders and wine totes. “We also have artists who are back this year, after a year or two off, and many of our ‘regulars’ have new and exciting items to share, that will be for sale,” said coordinator Jean Arneson. “They are always creating different and unique works of fine art, to keep it interesting.” Altogether, there are 26 artists in 10 locations. Just watch for the yellow art signs along the way, which are numbered by sunflowers dotting the trail or visit https:// www.google.com/maps/@44.9824648,-91.1961837,13z/ data=!4m3!11m2!2seU7turacQrm7Um4IxzAcHw!3e3?en try=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI1MDgxOS4wIKXMDSoASAFQA w%3D%3D, for a full map of the locations. “Each artist will have an item to give away and you can see some of the artists working on their craft, during the trail,” said Arneson. “We also have many restaurants and specialty places along the trail, and on our map, so you will be able to grab something to eat and drink, while supporting our local sponsors.”
