• 9-14: Faux stained glass suncatchers – drop in during open hours. Children are invited to celebrate our summer library program theme, “Color Our World,” and create their own faux stained glass suncatcher using sharpies, highlighters, and ink-jet transparencies. Younger children may need assistance from their caregiver. • Thursdays, June 12-Aug. 28, 12-2 p.m., Teen Silent Book Club. Teens are invited to drop in to gather to read in quiet comradery. Bring your own book, e-reader, or audiobook, and enjoy a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. You’re welcome to discuss your book with others, or just read quietly in the same space as other teens. • 13-14, Spencerama Days at the Library. Drop in during open hours for a variety of fun activities and games for all ages. Participants can use sidewalk chalk outside the library to decorate and draw what you love most about Spencer. There will be a variety of games and activities available to play inside, perfect for while you wait for more Spencerama events to begin! • 17: Family story time, 10:30-11 a.m. Children ages 6 and younger, and their parents and caregivers, are invited to share books with the group, sing a song or two, and more, during our time together.; Dragon Training Academy, 1:302:30 p.m. at Lions Park. Come watch as inventor and time traveler Brock Barnabas visits to recruit adventurous kids to travel back to the medieval times and deal with an overpopulation of dragons. Kids are trained to both defend against and tame down dragons using Brock’s amazing science-based inventions and techniques. After the show, enjoy a meet and greet with baby animatronic dragon!
