Paper Snail Craft
Children are invited to make a unique paper snail craft the week of June 23-28 at the Stratford Branch Library. Kids can drop in anytime during open hours to create a colorful snail using rolled paper coil shapes. Call 715-687-4420 more information.
Long-term care annunities
Adults can learn about long-term care annuities on Thursday, June 26, from 4-5 p.m., at the Stratford Branch Library. Free, no registration required. Call 715-687-4420 for more information. A local, licensed health and life insurance agent will explain how some types of annuities can be used for longterm care and what qualifies them to be used for long-term care. Emmanuel Lutheran VBS
Emmanuel Lutheran Church on CTH P northwest of Stratford has finished its Sunday School lessons for the year, but summer brings more fun Bible stories. The church will host Vacation Bible School on Fridays, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. The remaining dates are June 27, July 18 and 25, and Aug. 8. There will be Bible lessons, crafts, games and snacks. All students in kindergarten through eighth grade are welcome. No preregistration is required.

Koehler Kilty and Zackary Seitz have been named to the president’s honor roll for the 2025 spring semester at Bemidji State University in Bemidji, Minn. To be eligible for the honor roll, students must earn a grade-point average of 4.0 for the semester and be enrolled in at least 12 credits of coursework.

Full-time undergraduates who earned grade points of 3.90 to 4.0 (4.0 equals straight A) are given highest honors. High honor citations go to those with GPAs from 3.75 to 3.89, and honor recognition is accorded to those with GPAs from 3.50 to 3.74.
