State’s outdoor magazine is free for all to peruse online


The fall issue of the Wisconsin Natural Resources magazine is now available, online, at no charge. The issue is full of compelling stories and important information, to help everyone enjoy the season.
Included in the latest edition of the DNR’s quarterly outdoors magazine, is the feature of an in-depth cover story on wild rice in Wisconsin. Wild rice, or “manoomin” in the Anishinaabe language, is an important cultural resource, that faces climate threats and other challenges.
Read about the struggles of wild rice and efforts, through a variety of research projects, to provide a boost for this vital, but vulnerable, resource.
