Chippewa County 4-H announces that enrollment for the 2025–26 program year, is officially open. Youth in grades five through 13 and adult volunteers, are invited to be part of a dynamic community, that fosters learning, leadership and lifelong friendships. The 4-H program is a youth development program of the University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Extension. It empowers young people with the skills to lead for a lifetime, through hands-on projects, leadership experiences and community service. It also provides hands-on learning experiences, in a wide range of project areas, including dairy judging, leatherworking, small animals, swine, sewing, woodworking, photography, LEGO, arts and crafts, and youth leadership. Whether someone is a returning member or exploring 4-H for the first time, there’s a place for everyone in Chippewa County. “Our goal is to offer high-quality positive youth development (PYD) opportunities, that help young people build skills, discover new interests, and grow as leaders in their communities,” said Jordan Blue, Chippewa County 4-H educator. “We’re also committed to reducing barriers to participation and expanding our club offerings, to better serve all youth across the county.” Enrollment is open through Nov. 1, and while new members are welcome to join at any time during the year, enrolling early allows families to take full advantage of everything 4-H has to offer – from club meetings and project groups, to county-wide events and leadership opportunities. Families can sign up online, at wi.4honline.com.
