Nurse practitioner Kelsey Meyer, DNP, APNP, FNP-C, and her medical team, have joined Oakleaf Clinics, the largest primary care clinic in Oakleaf Medical Network, to create Oakleaf Clinics-Cornell, which opened May 1. Oakleaf Clinics, under the management of Dr. Michael Smith, took over the clinic at the Cornell location, previously held by Prevea Health.

The news came earlier in the year, that Prevea was closing all locations in this area, leaving a void in an already medically-challenged rural part of the state.

Meyer has practiced in Cornell, for over seven years. “I am very excited for the expertise and resources Oakleaf Clinics will provide to our community,” she said. “We are very thankful we can continue to care for our community.”

Oakleaf Clinics-Cornell has expanded its current space, to accommodate more patients, and will add in-house laboratory services and outreach specialty services, to help serve the Cornell region, with more needed healthcare services.
