Ruth Ann St. Aubin, 86, Jim Falls, passed away peacefully, Thursday, July 23, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Ruth Ann was born Aug. 22, 1939, to Daniel and Ruth (Cole) Stanford.

She was No. 10, in a family of 14 kids.

Ruth Ann lived in Chetek, Holcombe and Cornell, and graduated from Cornell High School in 1957.

She married Dennis St. Aubin, Jan. 4, 1958, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Cornell. They spent most of their married life down on the farm, where they raised their six children.

Ruth Ann loved spending time with her family and friends, and being at family gatherings, on both sides of the family. She especially loved spending time with her children, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and enjoyed going to their sporting events and dance recitals.

She also enjoyed camping, traveling, reading, knitting, crocheting, sewing, upholstering, fixing things when they broke and farming, but not driving tractor. She even learned how to milk cows.

Ruth Ann was active in the Holy Cross Altar Society, was chairman of the Saint Agnes Circle of Cornell, and in her later years, she was a member of the St. Agnes Circle of Jim Falls.

She is survived by her four daughters – Michele (Ty) Sweeney, Brenda (Denny) Zwiefelhofer, Kim (Bob) St. Aubin-Clark and Karen (Paul) Gont; one son – Dennis “Duke” (Kelly) St. Aubin; 14 grandchildren – Brandie, Jackie, Bobbi Jo, Trent, Travis, Josh, Jason, Jeramy, Chelsea, Ashley, Hayley, Luke, Zach and Brett; 26 great-grandchildren; sister – Norma (Norman) Lund; and brother – Calvin (Bobbi) Stanford.

She was preceded in death by her husband – Dennis St. Aubin; son – Michael St. Aubin; brothers – Chet, Ken, Don, Mick, Eddie, Ross, Bub and Glen; sisters – Cecil, Darlene and Bonnie; and several brothers and sisters-inlaw, on both the St. Aubin and Stanford sides of the family.

An evening visitation is Wednesday, July 29, at Borton-Leiser Funeral Home in Cornell, from 4-7 p.m., with praying the Rosary, at 7 p.m.

A Mass of Christian burial is at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 30, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Cornell, with a visitation that morning, at the church, from 10-10:45 a.m.

At 10:45 a.m., there is a eulogy before the funeral Mass. Following the Mass, interment is at the Cornell Cemetery, then a luncheon to follow, at the Anson Town Hall, in Jim Falls.
