Terri Lynn (Hoke) Gorla, 75, Sheldon, passed away peacefully, at home, Friday, March 20, 2026.

Terri was born Jan. 18, 1951, in Chippewa Falls, to Myron and Doris Hoke, of Holcombe.

She grew up on the family farm, and attended and graduated from Cornell High School, in 1970.

Terri later met and married Timothy E. Gorla, in Illinois, April 27, 1974.

They enjoyed traveling, riding motorcycles, fishing, camping, gardening and spending time outdoors. They enjoyed going for cruises around the countryside and visiting with relatives. They spent countless hours, at their dining table, watching and feeding, the birds and squirrels, and petting their cats.

Terri worked for six to seven years, with her sister, Wendy, at Jax Slax sewing factory, until it closed in 1988. She then worked 30 plus years, at Weathershield, in Ladysmith, where she later retired.

After her retirement, she spent a majority of her time visiting with family, and attending anything and everything, for all family members. She was always there for every event and always showed up, whenever she was needed, many times, with homemade macaroni and cheese, potato salad or her deviled eggs.

Although Terri and Timothy had no children of their own, they had many special kids, nieces and nephews in her life.

She is survived by her siblings – Cathy Moussette, Barb Anderson and Barry (Darlene) Hoke; brother-in-law – Jack Burlingame; nieces and nephews – Sid (Jordi) Hoke, Sheri (Dennis) Lloyd, Karmin (Bob) Thibedeau, Jeff (Kim) Moussette, Steve (Patrice) Anderson, Tony (Kris) Anderson, Ryan (Katie) Anderson, April (Nathan) Maves and Tracey Hepburn; many, many, many cousins; nieces; nephews; friends; but, most especially, her godchildren and their children – Nicholas (Sabrina – Savannah, Ashton, Alexis and Brekan) Burlingame, Faye (Nathan – Waelynn and Wesson) Helland, and Anna (Cole – Nola) Meyer.

She was preceded in death by her husband – Timothy Gorla; her parents – Myron and Doris Hoke; in-laws – Joseph and May Belle Gorla; her brother – Kent Hoke; sister – Wendy Hoke; and brothers-in-law – Larry Moussette and Tom Anderson.
