Laura Ann Green

Laura Ann Green, 69, Cornell, passed away Friday, Nov. 7, 2025, at Marshfield Medical Center in Weston.

Laura was born Jan. 8, 1956, in Milaca, Minn., to Theodore and Dorothy (Anderson) Green. She grew up in Bloomington, Minn., and Apple Valley, Minn.

Laura lived in St. Paul, Minn., following her graduation and moved to Cornell, in 2001.

She graduated from Rosemount High School in 1974. She went on to Bethel College in St. Paul, Minn., and earned her bachelor’s degree in 1978. She then went on to St. Mary’s Nursing School in Minneapolis, Minn., and graduated in 1981.

Laura worked as a nurse for many years, and ended her career as the head nurse for Lyngblomsten Care Center in St. Paul, Minn.

She is survived by her mother – Dorothy Green; two sisters – Linda Green and Jeri (Mark) Stender; five nieces – Crystal (Sam), Kelsey (Luke), Casey, Georgia (Cory) and Bailey (Tanner); and five great-nieces and nephews – Taylor, Harrison, Kylie, Evelynn and Lukah.

She was preceded in death by her father – Theodore Green; and her grandparents – Reuben and Beulah Anderson, and Marie Green.

Two services are Saturday, Nov. 15. The first service is at 11 a.m., at Borton-Leiser Funeral Home in Cornell, with Chaplin Lee McMenamin officiating. Visitation begins at 10 a.m., and goes until the start of the service, at 11 a.m., at the funeral home.

Following the service at the funeral home, those present will then go to Holy Cross Catholic Church in Cornell, for a funeral Mass, with Father Eric Linzmaier officiating, starting at approximately 11:45 a.m. Following the funeral Mass, everyone is invited for a time of lunch and fellowship at the church.
