Joan Etta Wagner


Joan was born Nov. 26, 1936, in Bismarck, N.D.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend.
Joan was a skilled homemaker, who enjoyed quilting, crafts, cooking and spending time outdoors, hunting and fishing.
Her holiday candies were a family favorite and she was always ready to lend a helping hand to others.
Joan married the love of her life, Martin Wagner, Oct.
31, 1954. Together, they built a beautiful life and started a loving family.
She is survived by her sons – Kim (Teresa) Wagner, Lynn (Ruth) Wagner, Wayne (Sonia) Wagner and Joey (Chris) Wagner; grandchildren – Troy (Angie) Wagner, Adam (Jodi) Wagner, Traci Wagner, Amy (Allen) Nelson, Wade (Amy) Wagner, Samantha Wagner, Michael Wagner, Cody (Rachel) Wagner and Dakota (Melissa) Wagner; great-grandchildren – Alison, Brandon, Caitlynn, Evelyn, McKayla, Mason, Tru, Walker, Clayton, Freya, Dawson and Jase; great-great-grandchild – Grayson; brothers – Kenneth (Gloria) Snyder and Gerald (Vivian) Snyder; and special friends – Mavis Shell and Darlene Snyder.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years – Martin Wagner; parents – Kenneth and Lucille Snyder; and brother – Dean Snyder.
Joan will be remembered for her strong spirit, love for family and the many ways she made life better for those around her.
A celebration of Joan’s life is Saturday, Oct. 18, at O’Connell Family Funeral Homes & Cremation Services in Baldwin. Visitation is at 10 a.m., followed by a service at 11 a.m.
