Patricia “Pat” Ann (Martindale) Willmarth

Patricia “Pat” Ann (Martindale) Willmarth, 89, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, Monday, June 16, 2025.

Pat was born June 9, 1936, to Lloyd and Ethel Martindale, in Cornell, and grew up in Holcombe, where she attended Holcombe High School and graduated in 1954.

She married Howard Willmarth, June 25, 1954, and joined Howard, where he was stationed in the Army. Upon returning to the U.S., Pat went to work for AT& T in Eau Claire, and retired from there, after 30 years.

Pat was a quilter, and made many beautiful quilts for her friends and family. She also loved playing golf in the summer and winter.

She and Howard spent winters in the southern warmer climates, for 20 years, where they both enjoyed making new friends.

Pat was a loving wife and mother. She was very proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children – Debra, Tom (Becky), Ray (Malea), Lori (Chad) and Eric (Kristina); and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents – Lloyd and Ethel; and her husband – Howard, who passed away just 24 days prior to her. They never celebrated an anniversary apart. Fate decided to reunite them in time for their 71st anniversary, June 25.

Services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, June 23, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Holcombe. Visitation began at 10 a.m., and went until the start of service, at 11 a.m.
