Johnny Colliver

Johnny Colliver, a deeply loved husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, Sunday, April 13, 2025, at the age of 89.

Born in the mountains of Montrose, Colo., Johnny was an artist who lived a life filled with love, compassion and an unwavering dedication to his family. To know Johnny was to love him.

His laughter was contagious, his kindness unshakable and his ability to bring people together with his unique sense of humor, will always be remembered!

Whether it was family gatherings, celebrations or unexpected moments of connection, he made it unforgettable, simply by being him.

He is survived by the love of his life – Carol Colliver; his children – Johnny Colliver Jr., Joy Colliver, Jamie (Stoll) Colliver and Jesse Colliver; his grandchildren – Ricky, Johnny, Samantha, Amethyst, JJ, Nikki, Fawn, Zack, Shianne, Lexi and Josh; and 11 current great-grandchildren.

His legacy lives on in the stories we’ll re-tell, the laughter we’ll ALWAYS hear in our heads and the love we carry in our hearts.

Cheers to a life well-lived and a man deeply loved. We love and miss you.

A private memorial service will be held by the family, to celebrate Johnny’s life. In lieu of flowers or outreach, the family invites you to honor his memory by holding your loved ones close – and sharing a laugh or two, just as he would have wanted.
