Olga Sockness Zweifel, 98, passed away Saturday, Nov. 14, 2020. Born in Chippewa Falls, Olga was the daughter of Ole and Bertha Sockness. She graduated from Cornell High School and spent many years as a homemaker, as the wife of John Zweifel. She was a long-time member at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Cornell. She will be remembered for her many years attending Bible studies, and volunteering at the church. Olga will always be remembered for her kind heart and solid Christian faith. I was her son-in-law for almost 50 years. The first time I met her, I knew I wanted to marry her daughter and be part of such a wonderful family. She will have a great family greeting in her new home. She is survived by her sons – Richard “Dick” and Thomas “Tom”; her son-in-law – George; three grandchildren; and one great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband – John; son – Donald; and daughter – Marie. Interment will take place at the Cornell Cemetery, following the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
