Janice E. Winger

Janice E. Winger, 75 of Medford, died on Friday, Sept. 18, 2026.

She was born on Feb. 25, 1951 at the family home near Hannibal. The daughter of the late Robert and Betty (Truax) Morris. Jan grew up in the area and attended Gilman High School. She married Jerry Winger on Nov. 15, 1968.

She enjoyed drawing, reading and horseback riding.

Jan is survived by her daughter, Liz (John) Drager, of Medford; her grandsons, Donovan and Bo Turek and Dakota Drager; a great-granddaughter, Aryella Turek; and her sister, Joan (Earl) Chwala, of Gilman; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jerry (9-16-2026); her son, Jerry “Punky” Winger; and her brothers, Lem and Douglas in infancy.

A memorial service for Jan, Jerry, Sr., and Jerry “Punky” Jr., will be held at Noon, on Friday, Oct. 2 at the Gilman Funeral Home with Rev. Beverly Thompson officiating. Inurnment will take place privately at a later date in Hannibal Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior.
