Delores Annala Bedgood

Delores Annala Bedgood of Bensenville, Ill. passed away on May 22, 2026 at the age of 88. She was born Aug. 15, 1937 in Westboro, to the late Walter and Miriam Annala.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Friday, June 19 from 4-8 p.m. at Olson Burke-Sullivan Funeral, 6467 N Northwest Hwy, Chicago, IL 60631.

Delores was the oldest of seven children raised on a dairy farm learning the meaning of hard work early in life. Westboro High School Class of 1955 Valedictorian, Delores moved to Illinois shortly after high school where she married and raised a family. Professionally, she built a distinguished career working for Aetna Life & Casualty for 25 years and later for Delta Dental for nearly 15 years before retiring. She was known as a dedicated employee with exceptional standards and a strong work ethic. Delores was a lifelong sports fan who loved basketball and baseball. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—reading a good book, tending her garden, preparing meals for those she loved, and sharing

laughter with family and friends.

In her final years, she faced several health challenges with quiet fortitude. Her children were blessed to care for her more closely during this time. Despite those years proving more difficult, they became a gift that allowed them to repay a small portion of the care and devotion she had given them throughout their lives.

Though her absence leaves a deep ache in our hearts, we find comfort in knowing that her strength, principles, humor and love live on in us.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; three sisters; and one brother.

She is survived by her son, Kevin; two daughters, Jennifer and Margo; and two grandchildren, Nicole and Kyle who will forever cherish the love, wisdom, and memories she gave them. She is also survived by her remaining siblings, brother, John and sister, Darlene; extended family members; and all those whose lives were enriched by knowing her.
