Harry William Blasel

1932-2026

Harry William Blasel, 93, of Ogema, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at the Riverview Nursing Home. Harry was born July 23, 1932 in Stetsonville, the son of Albert and Elsie (Korth) Blasel. Harry served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was united in marriage to Mirella Komarek on Oct. 20, 1956 and she preceded him in death on Nov. 8, 2009.

He is survived by his granddaughters, Melinda Blasel and Tina Wang; great-grandchildren, Sevrin VanSleet, Joanna Wang and Ling Wang.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark Blasel; sisters, Delores Kraus Smart and Arlis (Bud) Lageman; brothers, Norman (Delores) and Melvin (Sylvia) Blasel.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on May 29, 2026 at Zion Lutheran Church, N897 German Settlement Rd. Ogema with Pastor Ken Bittorf officiating. Burial to follow at Spirit Hillcrest Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to time of service at 11 a.m.
