Galen “Gus” L. Wild

1954-2026

Galen “Gus” L. Wild, 71, of Medford, passed away at home on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026. A celebration of life for Gus will take place at the Medford VFW starting at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, 2026. Gus was born on Aug. 8, 1954 to Henry and Esther (Kaemmerer) in Medford. He graduated from Medford Senior High. He married Barbara Wild in 1988 and they were later divorced. He worked at Hurd for many years.

In his retirement, Gus enjoyed working on John Deere and snowmobile engines. He was an avid Packers fan, enjoyed fishing, and playing music with various bands in the area.

Gus is survived by his son, Shawn Wild. Gus was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Tiffany Wild; and brother, John Wild.
