Jane married and gave birth to six children, then in 1967, Jane and her family moved to Jacksonville Beach, Fla. where she landed a great job in a downtown office at the Seaboard Coastline Railroad. She worked there for 13 years from 1967 to 1980.
Jane gave her life to the Lord in July of 1974. She was 42 years old when she came to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Jane’s most memorable trip was to the Holy Land of Israel and to Rome in 1979.
In 1980, Jane sold the Florida home and moved to Dallas, Texas, to attend Christ for the Nations Bible College. She was part of the 1980-1982 graduating class. After graduation, she worked as a Christian counselor in Texas, Wisconsin, and Colorado.
Jane moved in with her mother in 1999 in Wisconsin to care for her until she died in 2004. She then moved to Larned, Kan., where she lived with her daughter, Debra, and granddaughter, Gwen; until she moved into Diversicare of Larned one year ago.
1932-2025

She was a volunteer for the Pawnee Valley Community Hospital Auxiliary and worked the front desk at the hospital as well as making scrubbies for the gift shop. Jane also spent her days knitting slippers, crocheting beautiful blankets, working puzzles, reading her Bible, and praying.
Jane is survived by her five children, Debra Kauer, of Larned, Kan., Stephen (Amy) Kauer, of Loyal, Terry Kauer, of Medford, Todd (Lynda) Kauer, of Marshfield, and Lisa (Mike) Dragan, of Highlands Ranch, Colo. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 21 greatgrandchildren.
Jane was preceded in death by her baby boy, David Paul; and two infant granddaughters, Maria and Jennifer. Also preceding her were her brothers, Lin and Lee Mahner.
Jane’s final wish was for all her family to come to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ and to live their lives for Him.
