Donna Jean Clausnitzer

Donna Jean Clausnitzer, 94, of Medford, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2025 at 3:53 p.m. at her home while under the care of Hope Hospice.
She was born March 15, 1931 in Medford to the late George and Agnes (Mueller) Schoenberger. She was an only child. Donna attended Little Black State Grade School and graduated in 1949 from Medford Sr. High School.
On July 1, 1950 in Vinton, Iowa, she became the wife of Alfred “Bub” Clausnitzer who preceded her in death on August 17, 2014 after spending 64 years together. She was a store clerk most of her life, taking ten years off to raise two children, Sandra and Perry. Her early years she was busy working for Immanuel Lutheran Church, singing in choir for years and was a member of the Ladies of Immanuel. Her hobbies were decorating her home and yard for holidays from top to bottom. Later years you’d find her coloring, doing puzzles or word finds, and she loved to read.
She is survived by her two children, Sandra Mc-Coy and Perry (Corinne) Clausnitzer, all of Medford; grandchildren, Heather (Ryan) Vlach, Jesse (Erin) Clausnitzer, all of Medford; step-grandson, Jordan (Martha) Drouet-Rueden of Chicago, Ill.; great-grandchildren, Trey (Claudia) Williams of Marshfield, Cole (Megan) Williams of Cadott, Kade (Kayla) Williams of Medford, Tasia Mravik of Wausau, Aubree Clausnitzer of Stevens Point, Emeline “Millie” and Emerson Drouet-Rueden of Chicago; great-great-grandchildren, Axel and Coil Williams of Cadott, and Ophelia Williams of Marshfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alfred; son-in-law, Joe McCoy; and great-grandson, Trevor Williams.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2025 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Medford with Rev. Daniel Iwinski officiating. Burial of her cremated remains will follow at Evergreen Cemetery II, Medford.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m., Wednesday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated and may go to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
