Nancy Lee Spurgin

1947-2025

Nancy Lee Spurgin, 77, passed away on July 25, 2025 in Roseville, Minn.

She was born on Dec. 19, 1947 in Medford to Lloyd and LaVerne Spurgin. She graduated from Medford High School in 1966 and continued her education at Martin Lutheran College in New Ulm, Minn, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She taught at St. Stephen’s Lutheran School in Beaver Dam, for four years and went on to a career as an accounting clerk in the Milwaukee, area. She was known for her love of Jesus, music, and her family.

She is survived by her sister, Harriet (Roger) Flashinski; her sister-in-law, Gerane Spurgin; and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and greatnephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, LaNae Doberstein and husband, Donald; and brothers, David Spurgin, Harlin Spurgin and wife, June, and Dr. Alan Spurgin.

The funeral service will be held at New Life Lutheran Church, 180 County Road F West, Shoreview, Minn. on Saturday, Aug. 30 starting at 1 p.m. (It will be live streamed at: www.newlifeshoreview.com.)
