Clarence Jerome Danielson, 87, Cadott, passed away peacefully, Saturday, April 6, 2024.

Clarence was born June 10, 1936, in Cadott, to Wilhelm (William) and Mabel Danielson.

He grew up in Cadott, on a dairy farm.

Clarence graduated from Cadott High School in 1955.

He served in the United States Army, between 1956 and 1959.

Clarence married Deanna Chapek, June 16, 1961, in Stillwater, Minn. He was a husband, father and grandfather.

He was a construction worker on high rises, a plumber and a dairy farmer. Clarence served on the Town of Goetz board for about 18 years, many serving as chairman. He spent many winter nights, plowing snow from midnight until morning.

Over the years, Clarence enjoyed fishing trips to Canada, with family and friends, hunting trips with his dad and neighbors, hunting trips later with his father-in-law, camping trips with family and friends, Thursday night card club at the local bars, and watching Wheel of Fortune.

After Clarence retired, he enjoyed farming with his nephews after he sold them his farm and farming with his brother-in-law, and also camping in Birchwood, with Deanna and his family.

Clarence really enjoyed being a father and was overjoyed to finally become a grandfather in 2001.

He is survived by his five children – Judi Danielson, Eau Claire, Ed (Lisa) Danielson, Cadott, Jerry (Sherry) Danielson, Chippewa Falls, Kerri (Chris) Tomandl, Coon Rapids, Minn., and Sally (Jon) Skarphol, Carver, Minn.; five grandchildren – Jeremiah, Lydia, Julia, Aria and Remy; siblings – Muriel Shervey, Wayne (Flo) Danielson, Bernard Danielson and Mark Danielson; sisters-in-law – Marette Danielson and Marilyn Danielson; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of almost 59 years – Deanna Danielson in 2020; his parents – Wilhelm (William) and Mabel Danielson; brothers – Allen Danielson and Harland Danielson; sister – Eleanor Sheldahl; brothers- in-law – Al Shervey and Marvin Sheldahl; and sisterin- law – Joyce Danielson.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 15, from 9-11 a.m., with service at 11 a.m., at Leiser Funeral Home in Cadott. Interment will be in the Brooklawn Cemetery in Cadott, with military honors conducted by the Cadott American Legion and VFW.

A lunch will follow at Rick’s Halfway Hall in Cadott.
