Beverly “Bev” June Wehrman, 88, Arcadia, formerly of Fairchild and Loyal, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020, at Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse. A celebration of life will be held beginning at 2 p.m., on Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Arcadia Country Club in Arcadia.

Bev was born in Neillsville on Jan. 27, 1932, to Arthur and Gretchen (nee Kurth) Ampe. She graduated from Greenwood High School with the Class of 1949. After graduation, Bev was united in marriage to William Stabnow. Although the couple later divorced, the couple was blessed with two children: Randy and Deborah. Bev then married Norman Thorson, and the pair worked side by side as loggers until Norman’s death in 1984. To this union, Bev and Norman welcomed three children: Galen, Valerie and Mark. Bev was employed with Nelson Muffler in Neillsville for many years until her retirement. After meeting Wilfred “Willy” Wehrman, Bev volunteered and bartended at the American Legion Post #175 in Loyal. The couple was married in April 1994 and enjoyed 12 years of marriage until his passing in 2006. Bev enjoyed camping, fishing, playing cards, bowling, crocheting afghans to donate, puzzles, and taking her dog “Jojo” for walks.

Bev is survived by her children: Randy (Lynn) Stabnow of Greenwood, Galen (Avis) Thorson of Arcadia, Valerie (Frank) Zemberi of Waukesha, and Mark (Lisa) Thorson of Broken Arrow, Okla.; three sisters: Jean Hasz of Fitchburg, Ardis (Jeffery) Hempl of Madison, and Dianne (Robert) Harms of Portage; a son-in-law: Mark Gungor of Green Bay; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and her dog, Jojo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands: Norman and Willy; a daughter, Deborah Gungor; three brothers: Gary, David and Donald Ampe; and a brother-in-law, Howard Hasz.
